What do a yellow piano, wallpaper with herons and pink washbasins have in common? All these things have been incorporated into the design of the house in Babice, creating, which may be hard to believe, a harmonious whole. The vivid colour accents present in all rooms of the house are a fulfilment of the client’s expectations, since she likes expressive colours very much. The interior is toned down by a uniform floor made of micro-cement, furniture in toned-down colours and minimalist, loft-style lighting. Innovative solutions worth mentioning include a mural on the TV wall, which conceals the door to the sleeping area of the house. But it is the living area that grabs all the attention: natural light entering the interior through large windows, reinforced by lighting from distinctive lamps, is complemented by the brilliance of an open fire from a traditional steel stove.
